Competition Law Merger Control, FDI & FSR European Commission International Clients
Our client advises clients across the full spectrum of EU and Belgian competition law matters.
Working closely with colleagues across the firm's global Competition practice, you will support leading multinational clients on some of their most strategic and business-critical matters.
As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in advising clients and managing complex files while contributing to the continued growth of the practice:
- Advise clients on merger control filings before the European Commission and competition authorities.
- Assist clients with Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR) assessments and notifications across multiple jurisdictions.
- Represent clients in competition law investigations, market studies and regulatory proceedings.
- Advise on State Aid matters and broader EU regulatory issues.
- Counsel clients on behavioural competition law, distribution systems, commercial agreements and compliance programmes.
- Work closely with colleagues across our client's international Competition practice on cross-border matters.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and become a strategic business partner.
- Contribute actively to business development initiatives and client relationship management.
Jouw profiel
EU Qualified Lawyer 5-8 Years' Experience Competition Law Specialist Dutch & English
- Qualified lawyer in an EU jurisdiction.
- 4 to 9 years of Competition Law experience gained within a leading Law firm.
- Strong expertise across merger control, investigations, behavioural competition Law, FDI and FSR.
- Experience advising multinational clients on complex cross-border matters.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Commercially astute with a genuine interest in legal, regulatory and business developments.
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and develop long-term client relationships.
